I came across a great blog post by Steve Pavolina regarding change in our lives. This has always been I of my problem areas.
He basically gives you 9 steps on how to actually embrace a new adventure … here's a pssage from that post …

When I want to make a significant change in my life, I often think of it in terms of switching dimensions. My attention is focused on my current reality right now, and my desired situation can be said to exist as some alternate reality outside of my primary focus. In that other reality, there’s another me who’s already where I want to be. My goal then is to become that other me and to shift into his reality.
In practice this is fairly straightforward. It may sound odd to you at first, but try not to get caught up on the words I use to describe the process. You may choose to frame it differently than I do, and that’s fine.
First I’ll explain how the process works in general, and then I’ll walk you through a specific example to illustrate it.
Here are the steps:
1. Ponder Other Possibilities.
First, imagine that all possible alternate realities can and do exist. The multiverse is an infinite honeycomb of possible universes. You may be aware of only one universe right now, but suppose that the others exist in some alternate dimensions, and you just aren’t aware of them.
In some alternate reality, the Cuban Missile Crisis kicked off World War III. Or the USA is debt-free. Or there’s an alternate YOU living in a different city.
On a personal level, for every choice or event you experienced, some YOU in another reality made a different choice and/or experienced a different outcome, so there’s a whole network of new realities that splintered off from that one, a network that includes all possible branches of possibilities.
So in some other dimension, there are other versions of you who are living completely different lives….More at How to Switch Dimensions

SO many of us underestimate the value of good solid eating habits. The only time you realize this fact is after you eat well for awhile and then have an unhealthy meal or two. This is when you realize the importance of diet.
With this said, here are some great ground rule for eating healthy:
Eat only when you are hungry
Decide in advance how much you are going to eat. Do not feel that everything has to be eaten to prevent waste. Watch yourself when eating with others and socializing. Many of us tend to overeat in this situations.
Choose a plate that smaller than the one you normally use. Many of us have never considered this, but a small plate gives the appearance of more food.
Never eat while standing up. Instead, always eat seated in the same place at home.
Don’t eat in front of the TV. You will consume more food when your attention is diverted.
Quit eating when you are full and long before you are stuffed. Never forget this: your stomach is full LONG BEFORE your brain gets the message.
Be careful about the music you listen to while eating. Slow, relaxing music will encourage you to eat less and more slowly. While fast music causes you to ate more at a faster pace.
Eat healthy snacks between meals and then eat smaller meals.
Eat something healthy like a 1/2 grapefruit about 30 minutes before meals. This will reduce your appetite.
Develop an appetite for lots of different foods. This will make it easier to satisfy your hunger cravings.
Make your last meal of the day a light one and before 7:00PM.

Perfect Attitude
To live a successful lifestyle, you must develop a positive mental attitude to make everything flow for you. In the end, it is your attitude that fuels your life regardless of which direction it goes. Why? Because with the right attitude, you will attract all the people and resources that you need to achieve your goals.
To begin with, you need to have the right attitude toward your family, friends and associates. With them you should share acceptance, forgiveness, love, kindness, and respect as that will go a long way in deepening your relationships with them.
You also need to have an open mind attitude toward your personal growth and development. For starters, the world changes constantly and you need to be able to change with it or you will get left behind. Learn to develop an attitude that these inevitable changes also bring forth opportunities.
The next thing you need is to have a realistic attitude about your abilities. This requires that you accept both your weaknesses and strengths. You should love and accept yourself with a positive attitude. Personally, I think it is a poor manager that focuses on the weakness of others for improvement. Why put someone in a position to struggle and fail? Why not use their strengths and put them in a position to succeed over and over again?
In the end, the right attitude needs to be one that is positive while recognizing realism and understanding. When you are realistic, you will be in the position to fully understand and utilize your strengths. Believe it or not, lots of people are afraid to use their strengths. Do not let this be you – jump into the world and give it all you have. You will discover the passion of living when you do …
People define success in various ways. One person’s idea of success can be totally differently from that of another. Someone might buy a certain car or house and feel successful, while another person may not feel anything at all with those things. So when you ask the question, “What is success?” it is not easily answered by anyone really. A better question may be who’s definition of success is the right one?
The answer to that last question is even more puzzling. No one’s definition of success is right and no one’s is wrong either for that matter. It all depends on each of our individual preferences and how we have defined them.
Our level of contentment can be defined as the difference between where we are and where we want to be. Many people feel that where we want to be is where true success resides. However, there are lots of people out there who feel successful along the way toward their goals. So as you can see, defining success can become quite complicated.
Understanding Success
So whenever we want to understand success, we first need to get a handle on how we define it as an individual. When we nail down our relationship to success, we can access whether our expectations are realistic or not. If we happen to be a 40 year old man who is 5’8” but will not feel successful unless we are 6’4”, then we have a serious problem.
After we get clear on a solid achievable goal, then we can start mapping out a course to get there. It would then be great if we could train our minds to feel successful as long as we are moving toward our goal.
While we may have trouble defining success, there is one thing that is for sure. When you feel success on a daily basis, then you attract even more success – so concentrate on that path and do it daily ….
